Comparison between different membrane manufacture methods (including NIPS, H-TIPS)

Currently there are mainly 3 popular membrane process methods, each one with its own merits and demerits :

NIPS

TIPS

PVDF with support layer.

MOTIMO invented and patented an Homogeneous TIPS PVDF membrane process method, which combines the merits of each one and overcome the disadvantages.

Conclusion:

Membrane with NIPS making method has the advantage of great anti-pollution and strong chemical stability but its strength is poor.

Membrane with TIPS making method has the advantage of high strength but its anti-pollution is poor, it’s easy to get fouling.

H-TIPS combine the advantages of the above two membrane making methods to make the membrane with great anti-pollution and anti-chemical, as well as high strength.
